We hit the beach in Galveston the day after we visited the space center. It was Eli's first time at the beach, and he loved it! He was not afraid at all. In fact, I really wished that he was a bit more afraid of the ocean! The seagulls really enjoyed meeting Eli. The hovered around quite a bit after they figured out he was a messy eater!
The other children had a great time splashing in the waves with their friends. Isaac and Bailey ventured out quite deep, and I had to keep bringing them back. Anna Grace and Olivia were content to splash around closer to shore.
The children ended up sunburned (my nomination for Mother of the Year award was yanked away!!). It was the first time we had been to the beach that we were not actually staying at the beach. We have always gotten up early and done our beach time in the morning before the sun was most intense. This day we were there from about 10:30-2:30. I put sunscreen on them in the morning, but I did not reapply enough. The water really pounded the sunscreen away! Isaac's face was especially fried! Oh well, a lesson learned! Overall, it was a wonderful day!
